The Chicago Tribune interviews a Robin Thicke. This is the first I have heard of this young man, who apparently sings for a living. But I like the way he talks.
"I think I’m just getting over myself now," said Thicke, who claimed he recently landed a small role in a high profile film that comes out in 2011. "I was holding on so tight to what I wanted to be and what I wanted people to think of me and then I realized, 'Nobody gives a [expletive] about you, homey.’"
It's okay that he doesn't know that getting over one's bad self is a lifetime journey. Homey has taken the first baby steps, and he's on his way.
If more homeys in corporate America would just get over themselves, the productivity of this nation would soar. Ego has to be the #1 killer of efficiency and effectiveness in the workplace.
