Yeah, we got snow in Toronto overnight. When I looked out my window at 5:45 a.m. when I got up, it was very pretty.

Unfortunately, by the time I got downtown to work it had already started raining, so the snow is nearly gone already in an ugly, foggy, grey haze. But not, of course, before making the morning rush hour for those who have to drive a hellish mess!

That mother nature: she's a vindictive old witch!

Chicago's Streets and San is apparently using GPS to plan out their snow removal. I think it's a noble effort, using technology to increase productivity and cut costs. But I'm amused by the mental image of a plow driver checking his Blackberry for work assignments.

Snow removal? There's an app for that.

It seems as though everyone in the midwest has snow but us here in Cleveland. Now, they do say we'll get it later, but I feel cheated! This cold rain business, I thought I'd left it behind in Seattle.

Former Northeast Ohioan Eileen Burmeister, tell this silly man that wishing for snow in Cleveland is like wishing for sun in Hell.

Dearest Sean: Wishing for snow in Cleveland is like wishing for sun in Hell.

(But remember the blizzard of '78? Now that was fun!)

I think it's clear that Mr. Williams wasn't in Cle. in '78.
