One of my favorite words is marplot: an officious medler whose interference compromises the success of an undertaking. Or as I call him: a one-man bureaucracy.

Oh I do like this. Lord knows there have been days when I've been surrounded by marplots. Or is it marploi? And what do you call a group of marplots - A stifling of marplots perhaps? An obstruction of marplots? A hurdle of marplots? Or maybe a clot of marplots?

More than one marplot: marsplot; or alternatively, public school administration.
