Last week after I shared my 14-year-old daughter's comment to about the movie Eighth Grade—"Dad, did you learn some stuff?"—Eric wrote:
I feel like if I meet Scout (when) the conversation will go like this:
Me: Hi Scout. Glad to finally meet you. I'm not going to tell you that I think your dad is a great guy ... because you will only roll your eyes ... and then, I will have to read a blog post about how your dad's kid always rolls her eyes when someone complements her dad.
Scout: (rolls eyes)
