David,

Most definitely. We have to support, help and offer shoulders to cry on, to vent and enjoy the times of laughter. Even over the smallest things. People are all nervous and we need to be there for each other at any moment in time. In helping others, we will help ourselves. What comes around goes around, in a positive way.

My sister tells me the blog has been a bit dark lately. I acknowledge and thank her for the perspective. Then in the next e-mail, a speechwriter correspondent asks me, "Does keeping your fingers crossed count as proactive career management?"
