'sami" is a very talented, tough, intelligent women with outstanding athletic skills. However, her most outstanding quality in football was her leadership. I know this because I coached her at QB for 1 year on the varsity at Redlands H.S. She had the best huddle presence and command of the 3 QBs on the squad. She would've scored a TD in a varsity game but the head coach had her take a knee instead of scoring from the 6" line after she had driven the team over 90 yards. He did not want to appear to be running up the score against our crosstown rival.

It is exciting to see that Sam is continuing to excel in all she does. Have you seen her on stage? Great talent ! She also excelled at volleyball and softball in high school. There is nothing that she can not do and be great at. She probably pumps up the footballs and lines the field prior to the game.

If you see her, please give her "Best Wishes for continued success and good health" from Coach Shelko and his wife.

Thank you very much.

Dick Shelko

You got it, Dick; I'll pass it on.
