I hate it when Lt. Col. Mark Weber is interviewed by local TV stations in Minneapolis. They take the funny, nutty, whip-smart, stubborn, charismatic, surprising dude who I got to know while helping him write his book—and do their best to turn him into any other poor jamoke who is dying of cancer.
Dick Gordon, who has Weber on NPR's The Story today, doesn't interview a cancer-stricken soldier.
He interviews my guy. (And his equally hard-assed wife Kris.)
