Here's why. (Thanks to my fellow communication-lover Mike Long, who knew I would go for this.)
It is probably fair to note, however, that the kind of proselytizing that Jillette promotes here actually lasts less long than the video in which he promotes it. I doubt the "good man" he's talking about would have gotten five minutes and eleven seconds to make his case.
a) Give that man a cup of coffee and a hair tie.
b) Gideon Int'l is an organization whose main thrust is the distribution of Gideon Bibles. Hotel room? Gideon Bible. A member of this organization approached him. It's what they do.
c) Not all Christians think that passing out Bibles or trying to save people's souls after they're dead is the best use of their time.
