I think I know how to action that particular piece of communication from IABC.

Maybe it is like making movies.

Someone shouts "lights" and instead of being a noun, it turns into a verb, and life brightens up.

Someone then shouts "camera" and instead of a, usually, black noun-like mass of glass and plastic and magnesium (if you pay enough) it means someone presses a red button.

And then "action" gets shouted, and people start to move around and talk sequentially.

Your update is so disturbing. This is so far removed from the IABC I once knew and loved and to which I gave years of my professional life. I'll always be grateful for the professional development and leadership experience I gained from IABC involvement in the late '80s and '90s, but it was a different association then. Now I'm just glad I made the right move by letting my membership lapse, though it's difficult to watch IABC self-destruct like this.
