I agree with your Dad's advice, but my experience tells me that after a while you stop loving what you once did. Walking 18 holes more than 300 times per year without ever hitting a shot was frustrating at first, but eventually playing golf on my occasional day off was the last thing I wanted to do.

Well Jim, to continue this Longitudinal Study of You, it would seem that once you stop doing what you love but now hate, you wind up loving it again. Already looking forward to your intense, insightful and funny commentary during the golf pool this year ....
