Excellent point about how we sum up others, yet it's a difficult question to answer for ourselves. It's easier for someone else to see/notice/point out, "She never does this" than for me to pinpoint what it is I don't do.

Sue, I agree. And think it speaks to the disconcerting (to PR people, especially) powerlessness we have over how we're perceived ... and more to the point, our inability to hide our true selves from those who know us well or who know us over any length of time.
