Friday night after two straight weeks of coronavirus madness, I got drunk as the CDC recommends: by myself.
That night, I learned that somehow the City of Chicago ruled that Irish pub crawls couldn't be outlawed and that the reckless partiers would not be discouraged.
My writer pal Paul texted me and our pal Tony, "Chicago's inner Ditka prevails. ... Some jamokes will not be deterred from reveling."
I replied, "This town really is twice as dumb as Buffalo."
"That's libel," said Tony.
"Against Buffalo, maybe.”
